General Info

Tucked along Schofield Avenue, Pho Zone at 4204 Schofield Ave, Schofield, WI 54476, United States is the kind of restaurant that feels welcoming the moment you step inside. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, making it a pleasant stop for locals exploring nearby locations or travelers looking for a relaxed dinner spot. During my visit, the dining room felt calm and inviting, which made it especially enjoyable for solo dining. The space is thoughtfully arranged as well, with wheelchair accessible seating and a clean restroom, adding to the overall convenience.

The menu at Pho Zone focuses on flavorful Vietnamese and Asian-inspired comfort food. One dish that immediately stood out was the Beef House Pho Combo. The broth arrived steaming hot and aromatic, with a deep, savory flavor that felt slow-simmered and rich. Tender slices of beef and fresh noodles made every spoonful satisfying. It’s clearly one of the highlights of the menu and a dish that many reviews often mention for good reason.

Beyond pho, the restaurant offers several small plates and noodle dishes that are perfect for sharing or enjoying on your own. I tried the Sticky Rice with Beef Laab, and the balance of textures was impressive. The sticky rice provided a soft, comforting base, while the beef laab brought a punch of herbs and seasoning that made the dish lively and memorable. If you’re exploring the menu, this plate easily becomes a favorite.

For noodle lovers, the Chicken Lo Mein is another reliable choice. The noodles were stir-fried with just the right amount of sauce, creating a savory, satisfying bowl that felt hearty without being heavy. It pairs nicely with the restaurant’s lighter appetizers, especially the Chicken and Avocado Spring Rolls. Fresh, crisp, and packed with flavor, these rolls offered a refreshing contrast to the warm noodle dishes.

Speaking of appetizers, the classic Spring Roll is a simple but satisfying option from the small plates section. It’s the kind of starter that works well whether you’re waiting for dinner or just stopping by for a quick bite.

Overall, Pho Zone feels like a neighborhood restaurant where the focus stays firmly on comforting dishes and a relaxed dining experience. With a thoughtful menu, accommodating seating, and a welcoming environment, it’s easy to see why visitors often add this spot to their list when browsing local restaurant reviews in Schofield.

What customers say?

“ This restaurant is super cozy and clean, and the Phô is awesome! They also have great options for brown sugar or popping boba drinks. The calamari is always cooked perfectly. They always keep things decorated for the season, and it really feels welcoming. Great for a date night, solo night, with family or friends! ”

“ I come to this town for work every January of the year. It's super cold up here, so I crave pho often. Their broth is great! They may not offer many options as other pho restaurants that I've been to, but it's perfect for me! The tripe, beef balls, and sliced beef are all I need! On their tables, they offer many different condiments for your meals. Their chilli oil has a wonderful kick, if you like spicy the way that I do. I didn't interact with the staff too much, but they were always nice the two times I've been here. Highly recommend if you're looking for warm broth in your belly! ”

“ Was in town and needed some pho after a good night of outing and it did not disappoint. Pho broth was very good on its own - 9/10. Didn’t have to add much condiments. My noodles were a tad overcooked (soggy) but it’s alright, mistakes happen, still enjoyed the pho. Go try the pho!! The raw larb with sticky rice was good - 8/10. Banh mi was solid. Love the fillings and amount of pate they put in. The breading wasn’t my preference. It’s more on the soft side, I like more of a crunch, but that’s okay! - 7/10. Also had their Thai milk ice tea. It was amazing. 11/10. Not too sweet and had the perfect blend. The atmosphere itself was a bit awkward in the beginning. I came in around 1pm on a Sunday, and it was very quiet with other diners. I would suggest to play some background music (doesn’t have to be too loud) to kind of break the ice. I’m glad someone notice I had NFL playing on my phone and it looked like the owner decided to put it on the big screen. Very-very cool of her to do so. It didn’t seem to bother any of the other diners. Overall great food! Definitely check them out! ”

“ Take out, got the beef pho with extra tripe. The servings to price ratio is great, also the ingredients are all fresh and every part was very tasty and great quality. The broth itself tastes like crack it is so good, you can taste the umami in the msg and beautiful spices, I could just drink it as a drink! As for service the host was very kind and let me know I can fill up my own chili oil container, I walked in to place an order and the service was quick and great. Highly recommended the food here! ”

“ Ordered some items for takeout. The raw laab was definitely better than Christine's. I asked for extra spicy but it still wasn't spicy enough for me, still good though. The pad thai was decent, not bad. I liked how its not too liquid-y and not overly sweet. The boba tea mocha is a hard pass tho. The pho was okay, maybe too sweet. My brother in law got the gizzard and it was actually pretty good! The employee that helped us at the register was kind too. The place looks tidy inside. ”

“ My family we were in Wausau for the weekend and decided to stop and try some food at this place. The raw laab was pretty delicious. The favors is very popping, we got it spicy and it was pretty good. The pho was good, it's on the sweeter side but with a touch of lime it prefect! The chicken wings was sweet and crushy. I did enjoy the fortune cookies! It was so good! ”

“ The pho was amazing, the lo mein was incredible. The Boba was good. The restaurant itself was very nice and actually took me by surprise. The staff was attentive and kind and the price was right. Highly recommend this restaurant!!! ”

“ Decided to give this place a try for lunch today. Ordered the Yakisoba Chicken, and it could have had a bit more chicken and veggies instead of so many noodles. All was still really good though. Will definitely be going back to try some of their other dishes. ”
